Lamp Bristol, Est. 2013
Lamp Bristol was established in 2013 to offer clients a team of experienced developers that were able to help deliver complex technical solutions. Since 2013, we've delivered numerous projects from website re-builds to complex applications. We've supported and maintained long-term client relationships on a range of exciting projects and extensively built on our capabilities.
Lamp is active in the SW technology community, responsible for the creation of the PHP Training Bristol meetup which still holds monthly training sessions led by Lamp's Dave Liddament.
What makes Lamp unique today is our ability, not just to deliver complex technology, but understand and align with your business objectives. This has made us the perfect partner for many organisations looking to grow their digital capabilities at pace in an ever-changing and uncertain environment.
Meet some of our people...
Tom has 12 years under his belt as a top notch developer. He started with a love for electronics engineering before he moved into software - working for large pharmaceuticals and the NHS. Tom was director of his own full stack web development company for 7 years, working with a range of clients including Microsoft and Unilever.
Simon's background is in sales and marketing, both with professional services and enterprise sales organisations. Simon has also been Divisional Director of a £10million p.a. business. This experience has given him a thorough understanding of the fundamentals of running a technology business and an appreciation of the issues that many of our clients face in growing their businesses. Having started out as an engineer in computational modelling, Simon still has some idea about the more technical aspects of software development!
As a commercial software developer, Dave’s been doing the clever behind-the-scenes stuff for clients for 17 years. Five of them with Lamp. He’s worked with all sorts of clients from one-person bands to multinationals, and on small and large-scale projects. This experience has given him an appreciation of the many and varied issues clients face to get their ‘digital estate’ working hard for their business or brand. You'll find Dave at events in the active Bristol tech community where he also runs Bristol PHP Training. Dave is also an international conference speaker, having travelled across Europe and to the US
Andy's background is in technology and in leading organisational technology strategy as a CTO. His key interest is in ensuring investments in technical capability translate to business outcomes. He has an engineering degree from Bristol University and an MBA in Technology Management. Andy's experience makes him well placed to help guide our customers through their technology strategy, as well as help ensure that Lamp's activities align to their strategic objectives.
